SSE‑impersonator scam – how to protect your energy bill!

This number is suspected to be a scam and should be treated with caution.

During a call from this number, supposedly from SSE, they requested my date of birth as a security measure, which raised suspicions since I had never shared this information with them before.

Someone claiming to be from sse called me, asking for £300 for a bill I already paid, I refused to pay

They claimed to be from sse, asking for full details, but when I asked why they didnt have the informations on their system, they hung up, it's a SCAM, be careful

They claim to be SE Gas Energy, addressed me as "Mr First Name", didn’t know my surname, then asked for confirmation details, full name, and address. They’re terrible scammers, don’t answer or just give them a piece of your mind, filthy wannabe fraudsters.

Money was asked, only know first name, suspicious

During the call, the representative requested my personal details, becoming irate when I asked why this information wasn't available in the SSE system, despite lacking my full account details
