This was a very convincing scam!!!!, the caller had an english accent, claimed to be calling from the uk, and knew my name aswell as some of my account details including my bank balence! the main reason I didnt hang up imediatly

However, a call to the actual bank revealed that this was a ruse, highlighting the importance of verifying such claims directly with the relevant institution.

Person on line try to scare me with transactions of £4K and then drop call when i dont beleive

A representative named Andrew Johnson claimed to be from the HSBC Fraud team. As soon as I mentioned previous similar contact and that I would reach out to HSBC myself, they disconnected the call. When attempting to return the call, it appeared legitimate, but it was not. The actual fraud team's number did not match, and I had no calls or fraudulent activity that day, which HSBC would have verified. It's best to block this number.
