Expert Opinion
It appears that the caller, claiming to be from HSBC, is actually a scammer attempting to obtain personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. The calls, made from the number +443456090712, often involve a sense of urgency and may reference a disputed payment or transaction, in an effort to phish for sensitive details. However, when recipients contact HSBC directly using the official phone number on their debit card, the bank confirms that there is no record of the call or any issues with their account, suggesting that the initial call was indeed a scam. As a precaution, it is essential to be cautious when receiving unsolicited calls and to verify the identity of the caller by contacting the organisation directly using a trusted phone number.
