Said they were from Microsoft but wouldn't name who they wanted. Yank accent. I called them out as scammers and put the phone down. Good riddance.

A hazardous scam purporting to be Microsoft support for my PC—I cut them off, but these typically lead to requests for remote access software to pilfer your information. Never install anything suggested by unsolicited callers, regardless of how convincing they seem or their claimed origin.
Pretended to be my bank regarding two odd transactions, instructed to hit 1 for verification, then I simply ended it
