The line rang, then after a pause a faint voice tried to speak before the call dropped.
Someone pretended to be from Sky Mobile, pitching a phone deal.
The call felt like a scam; she asked numerous questions claiming to be Vodafone, already knew my address and date of birth. I hung up, and when she called back I didn’t answer.
He pretended to be EE yet never asked for any info – total scam, buddy.
A male with an Indian accent said he represented EE; I let him stay on the line for eight minutes, denying him any chance to target another victim. If you can, stall them similarly. They usually pause before answering, repeatedly saying “hello” until you respond—perfect for wasting their effort. I’ve logged this as a scam, and I’ll repeat the tactic if they ring again.
