On 26/12/24, a scam related to a phone contract was attempted.
A scam claiming to be from vodaphone.
When i answered the call, all i could hear was background noise from a call centre, definatly a scam, they eventualy hung up on me
Upon recieving a call from this unknown mobile, i immediatly looked it up and discovered it was a scam, so didnt bother answering
Dialled and struggled to comprehend her speech due to excessive background noise. She mentioned something about O2, to which I replied that I'm not the right person to discuss my phone contract (since it's part of a family plan, which is true). She went silent, so I ended the call.
Total scam claiming to offer a Sky mobile network sim card upgrade
This caller purported to be from the 3 network, inquiring about my phone in relation to an alleged offer, but her Indian accent and apparent toothache made the whole thing seem suspicious, reeking of a scam.
The claim of being from the 'Sky network' was immediately recognised as a scam, given the numerous similar calls received recently, and the number was subsequently blocked.

As someone from the northwest UK, I didn't recognize the number, so I looked it up on Google and found this site, which has helped me avoid potential criminals; well done to 'who called me'.
An offer of a 40% discount on new contracts was made, allegedly from the Three phone network.
This number called claiming to be from Three Network, offering an iPhone 15 Pro for £40. When I asked them to call back using their company number, they didn't.

Michael called me twice within minutes of each other. My phone flagged this as a suspected scam call. I explained that I had hung up earlier due to difficulty hearing and that it was indeed a scam. He wasn’t pleased, but I dislike being harassed. In his first call, he pretended to be from O2. I will be blocking both numbers he used.
