Panicking due to my sick father in hospital, recieved a call at 12:41am and they didnt answer, I texted them to ask who it was but they didnt reply, it must be a scammer from overseas who didnt consider the time difference!
This number rang me at 10am this morning. The recording claimed it was a transfer from British Telecom, stating that my internet and phone service would be disconnected. I hung up before hearing the complete message. Clearly spam. Why don't phone companies take action against these callers? I am also registered with TPS, which seems to have no effect.
The individual on the phone did not have an Asian accent, despite claiming to be a life insurance consultant, and hung up when questioned about how they obtained my number.
