Suspicious Payment Warnings: Scam?
Summary — +447788842555
Expert Opinion
Have you ever picked up to an automated voice claiming urgent bank trouble? These calls from this number scream scam tactics, often posing as your bank or tech support like Microsoft or Openreach to extract details. Comments reveal a pattern: automated messages about fraudulent transactions or PC errors, urging transfers or logins—classic ploys to steal money or data. Hang up immediately; never share info or click links. Block the number on your phone, report to Action Fraud via their site or 0300 123 2040, and enable call screening if available. Vulnerable folks should chat with family or banks directly for peace of mind—scammers thrive on panic, so stay sharp and verify independently.

An unidentified caller just rang. Left no voicemail, and it cut off when voicemail kicked in. Strongly smells like a scam.
Scammers must be having a quiet day. Received three calls from this lot today. Picked up the initial one, but ignored the rest and they didn't leave voicemails.
Posed as Openreach staff, claimed PC issues and urged me to sign in to check for errors. Also dialled from 01473 901290
Con targeting banks
Rang several times today. I always let it go to voicemail, as real callers leave messages. Isn't it time they used AI to track down these crooks? It'd be invaluable, especially to protect vulnerable folks from scam artists.
Phoned me earlier today alleging unauthorised withdrawal from my bank, urging a transfer to another account; I ended the call right away—clear con.
