Vanquis‑impersonator scam: what to watch out for!

They keep sending texts about a Paul and missed payments, but I’m a woman.

Receiving messages from this number raises concerns as they seem to possess a lot of information. It's advisable not to engage. The repetitive nature of the message made me suspicious - likely a scammer.

These individuals are con artists.

I got a text from this number claiming to be Vanquis, but I didnt contact them, so I think its dodgy, they wanted my date of birth and all

I received a suspicious text from this number asking me to call and make a payment, despite being up to date with my Vanquis account, which raised my suspicions and led me to ignore the request.

A call claiming to be from Vanquis asked for my date of birth, which I refused to provide, and I believe it was a scam, especially since they had access to my account opening date

Beware of this number, as numerous people have reported it being linked to Vanquis, but my experience suggests it's a 'job agency' scam, complete with typos in the message: 'Hi, I'm Selina from Morgan Hunt, We have several flexibles roles avaiable, May I share the details with you?'.

Apparently, vanquis wasnt the actual caller, since I recieved a text message stating my card was declined, despite having sufficient funds, dont bother responding to these scam calls or texts

Frequent messages addressed to someone named Helen about missed payments and increased debt. Never heard of Vanquis bank, and I’m certainly not Helen.
