This number contacted me at 2.15am; unfamiliar, but the odd hour made me think it was urgent, so I picked up with lowered defences. I'd never considered scammers might strike at night. Upon answering, a automated message offered a code, which I cut off right away. Got another at 7am today, ignored it, and blocked the number
Besides the phone ringing at 2:15 a.m. and 7 a.m., I spotted a message from what claims to be Telegram containing a code. I possess no such account. The number's now blocked and marked as spam.
This number called, but I don't answer unknowns so let it go to voicemail. No message left. Just before, I'd gotten a text from Telegram with a five-digit code. I reckon this might connect to Telegram too, for sending automated codes. No account of mine there, but probably someone trying to link my number to one.
