A particually rude lady contacted me from this number, claiming to be from Thames, she had my name but got the apartment adress slightly wrong and didnt provide any usefull information, I think they need to improove their customer service skills, especialy considering the amount of scam calls thats been going around

Scammers are using an actual number for Thames Water to call. The caller alleged that my meter readings were incorrect and that I owed £122 in arrears for the previous year. They provided a bank account number for me to make a deposit today, or face extra charges. I stated I would transfer from my account to the usual Thames Water account I pay. The caller became very upset and angry, insisting that paying that account wouldn't send the money to the correct place. Suddenly, he wasn't from Thames Water anymore, but from another company that had "purchased the debt". I told him to #### off. He called from a Thames Water number, said he was from there and now he isn't. He swore at me and hung up.
