I've been called numerous times over the last week, and they claim to be from Virgin, but I've just signed up to a new contract, so I dont see why they need to call me, it must be a scam, especialy since Virgin only have my landline number

I gave them the name Ben Dover, a birth date of 1st April 1800, and an account number of 999999. When asked for the secret word, I spelled out something offensive, and they hung up—likely realising it was a joke.

Since I wasn’t due for a renewal, I told her I’d contact Virgin Media directly. They confirmed it was their number and she was part of their sales team.
Despite claiming to be Virgin Media, the caller was clearly not genuine, and contiued to call repeatedly even after being asked to stop, leading me to block the number.
