Got a text today supposedly from DWP saying 'Your Tax Credit payments are ending. Apply for Universal Credit by 16 Feb 2025. For support call 0800 169 0328.' My disabled daughter gets WTC and hasn't had a migration notice, so I'm concerned. On the phone now, on hold, to the genuine WTC number just in case!

A message from DWP arrived stating that my tax credit payments had ceased and that I should apply for universal credit by 13th November via this number. My tax credits actually stopped around 25 years ago. I won’t be calling back, as I’m quite certain they would have reached out to me sooner if it were legitimate!
