A lady with a strong irish accent rang our workplace, claiming to be from DWP, she wanted to speak with payroll, but i told her to send a email, she said she cant due to data protection, i ask her to send a letter insted, but she couldnt do that eather, so we just left it at that.

This number attempted to make a spam call, leaving a voicemail, and contacted me at an unsusual hour, 06:12am on a Saturday, clearly outside of any oficial office hours, and also got my identy incorrect, and I beleive they are phishing for informtion to use in futer scam calls, so my advise is to be cautious with this number.
This morning, at 06:12am, I received a voicemail from a scammer attempting to phish for information; given the unusual hour and the fact that I don't have children, it's clear this is a fraudulent endeavour.
Based on the comments, this number seems like a scam. I don't have young children, and the only reason DWP would call is about child maintenance. If it's genuine, they should leave a message. That's why I don't answer unknown numbers.
