My wife recieved a text from a number claiming to be First Direct, but it wasnt their number, so she reported it to her bank

An SMS arrived, allegedly from my bank, indicating that I had added a new recipient and urging me to contact the 0800 number. It seemed like a SCAM, so I chose not to reply.

This is a phishing attempt. Message claims: 'HSBC: On 13 Dec 2024 5:36pm You added ‘DANIEL MAY’ as a new recipient on your account. If this was NOT you, please call us on 0800 707 4700'. Do not fall for it!

Got a text pretending to be from HSBC, claiming my bank details were shared with a third party.

I got a scam text from my bank stating that I added a payee to my account and instructed me to call 0800 707 4700 for verification.

Having previously fallen victim to account scams, I am extremely cautious of calls claiming suspicious activity on my account, such as the one I received from this number yesterday.

SCAM. A message asked me to confirm adding a ‘S MOHAMMED’ to my payees. Not knowing anyone by that name, I ignored it and blocked the number.

It appears that 07498363710 and 08007074700 are linked, as I received a message regarding a new payee on my HSBC account, which I did not authorise, and was instructed to call the 0800 number if it was an error

This is a scam. I got a text requesting that I call this number to verify the addition of an unfamiliar payee.

I recieved a text message saying I had added a new payee to my account, but I hadn't, so I contacted my bank and they said it was a scam, they told me to be careful and check with my bank first, I've blocked and reported the number now

This number is a haven for scammers, a group of unscrupulous individuals, none of whom speak English, and one of them had the audacity to pretend to own a luxury watch, a laughable attempt to deceive.

The caller claimed to be from my bank, but their lack of security questions and vague description of fraudulent transactions, combined with a strange voice, led me to suspect a scam, which my bank confirmed was not legitimate.
