Had two calls recently from this number, supposedly from O2 customer service. They asked for a named individual, but I don't have an O2 account. It's odd a phone company wouldn't have better caller information.
For three weeks, I've been dealing with calls to O2, trying to resolve an issue with incoming caller ID. A person with a similar foreign accent called me last week, right after I spoke with O2, claiming they were sending me a free gift of a new mobile phone due to the stress I experienced. I ended up getting scammed by the number above 0800 8400202.
In my experience, this number is a genuine O2 number, used for generic sales calls, but it's essential to be cautious if they ask for a code you didn't request, as this could be a scammer attempting to obtain your account details.

I was bullied by the person on the phone, they ask me for a code and then they started abusing me, saying i was a worthless mother, i will definitly be reporting this to ofcom
While I was on the phone with a representative from 02, they called and sent a text asking me to reply with a code included in the text. The caller had a strong Indian accent, so I hung up, but they called back using an 0800 number. They somehow managed to disguise the actual number they were using... SCAM!
