It's evident that the posts claiming this number is safe are fabricated, as the overwhelming majority of reports highlight scamming activities, raising questions about the credibility of these claims.
BT Text‑to‑Speech Calls: Scam or Simple Service?
Summary — +448456021111
Expert Opinion
Around dusk, dozens of callers reported hearing the same automated voice from +448456021111. The number belongs to BT’s Text‑to‑Speech relay service that converts incoming SMS to an audio message for landlines. Because the service reads the originating number, scammers sometimes hijack it to deliver fake parcel or billing alerts, which explains the frequent “scam” labels. The calls are generally harmless if the message is simply listened to and no keypad input is entered. To avoid annoyance, add the number to a block list, disable BT’s text‑to‑speech feature with your provider, or send a test text to confirm legitimacy. Listen before you act, and never share personal data over the line.

Upon reading the post below, I question the accusation of being a scammer and a grifter. It's been a while since I posted on this feed, and my previous response was intended to address the claim that this number is a scam.
The information provided in the post below is inaccurate and misleading. This number is actualy a legitamate text-to-speech translation and relay service provided by BT, and is used by many phone companies to relay SMS messages to non-text enabled landlines in an audio format.
At 0700 today, a call was received from 08456021111, but it was not answered.
The so-called green post essay provided lacks verification and seems like a desperate attempt to scam people. Despite requests to provide a website for verification, none has been given, making the posts seem fictional.

Legitimate BT text translation service
Received an odd automated message with random numbers and letters. It’s nonsense, likely a scam. Some say it’s BT notifying about a text, but I don’t care—I have a landline for important messages. Ignore it.
Today, my home phone rang from this number. A robotic voice stated it was BT and there was a message for me. As I am not a BT customer, I was about to hang up when the number was announced. It sounded familiar, so I stayed on the line. I was instructed to press various buttons, but I hesitated. Eventually, the message was read out, which turned out to be from a friend. I later contacted him, and it seems he accidentally sent the text to my home phone. I assume BT provided the audio translation since it was delivered via Openreach's landline service.
It's importint to note that this number is likely a scam or spoofed, so its beset to block it if your not using it, unfortunatly the scammers have acces to legitamate posts about this

After my review yesterday, I was taken aback to receive a package from QVC, who had opted for Amazon delivery this time, which is unusual since they typically use Evri. It would have been helpful if QVC had informed me, as the vague phone call and email from Amazon raised scam suspicions. Thankfully, it was legitimate, but I stand by my cautious approach to avoid being scammed.
