BT Text‑to‑Speech Calls: Scam or Simple Service?

In the middle of the night, we recieved two calls from this number, which was extremly annoying. It's obviousley a scamming attempt.

Yet another scam call about PPI claims

A message was received claiming a tax rebate was due, and in return, requested bank details, a clear scam, further highlighting the need for the service provider to take action against such fraudulent activities.

Fraudulent individuals are exploiting this number, taking advantage of its legitimate technical status as a BT Open Reach number, and scamming customers across various networks, including Talk Talk and Vodafone

At 8.00 on sunday morn, i recived a message through a txt to audio service, which was pretty annoyting, especialy since i got out of bed thinking it was a family member, but it was just some scammer trying to trick me into beleiving i had a parcel delivery

Repeated calls from this number have been a nuisance, with two calls this morning alone, despite being a registered BT number, it seems BT should take responsibility for monitoring its service to prevent scams

It's undisputable that this number poses a threat, given that nearly all reports come from individuals who have been targeted by scams through this number, and it's owned by a bt owened tx to audio service, which only adds to its dubious nature, END OF

It appears that a scammer is posting misleading comments to deceive others, as evidenced by the attempt to manipulate users into believing a number is safe when it may not be.
