The messages consistently claim a voicemail from a contact called Fiona and urge the recipient to dial a 0909 number for a £6 fee, often providing an email address for opting‑out. This pattern matches classic premium‑rate scams that exploit unsuspecting users for small charges that quickly add up. Block the originating mobile number and any related short‑code, and do not engage with the email address. Report the incident to your network provider, Action Fraud and, where appropriate, Ofcom. Keep a record of the texts in case you need to report further fraud attempts.
Initially, I thought it was my sister in law Fiona calling, but it was someone else, unfortunately I was expecting a call from her and this was a confusing moment 🤬🤬
I recieved a text from 090955660004 about some fiona person and a voicemail, what a load of rubbish, deleteing it straight away

This number has been identified as a scam premium rate number, and I have already reported it to Ofcom, who will presumably take action to shut it down before any further earnings can be made
