Persistent survey calls after hours?

When I first answered, a man claimed he was conducting a survey and wanted to speak to the person who uses the most mobile data. I told him the person wasn’t available and hung up. Since then they keep trying to reach me about fibre‑optic offers. I no longer answer, but the constant calls are simply irritating.

Man teilte uns mit, sie sei zufällig von einem PC gewählt worden. Daraufhin untersagten wir weitere Anrufe an unsere Nummer. Unser Name wurde nie genannt! Seit heute setzt der Anrufwahn erneut ein. Es handelt sich um eine Geheimnummer, die niemanden etwas angeht. Es ist höchste Zeit, gegen solche Firmen vorzugehen – wir werden die Polizei einschalten.

They call at all hours, day and night. If you answer, you’re subjected to an interrogation. When I asked for the numbers to be removed, they confirmed deletion, only for the calls to resume shortly after. I’m filing a police report and a cease‑and‑desist order against the owner.

Gestern, kurz vor der Tagesschau, meist nach 20 Uhr, kam ein Anruf auf mein Handy. Der Anrufer stellte sich unter dem genannten Namen vor, sprach mit starkem osteuropäischem Akzent und war recht aggressiv. Er forderte ein Gespräch, nannte jedoch keinen Grund und drohte, sonst „von mir zu hören“.

Honestly, I’m fed up – you don’t make friends by pestering people with hour‑long questionnaires. Constantly begging for participation just makes you look like a fool. I’ve already dealt with enough interviewers trying to corner me.

Die Menschen sind völlig genervt! Wer das Angebot ablehnt, kann nicht einfach fernsehen, Radio hören oder ein Buch lesen, sondern wird sofort zurückgerufen. Das Leben könnte einfacher sein, wenn man nicht ständig alles wissen muss.

It’s extremely irritating to receive calls at ungodly hours. You’d think the matter might be important, yet a market researcher appears on the line. I’m happy to share my opinion only with people I know or who politely ask, and of course on a relevant topic. What really annoys me is being called late in the evening without prior consent – I’ve therefore blocked the number.

On 25 March 2025 at 12:45 I took part in a media‑usage interview. I followed the questionnaire at first, but when it turned odd I hung up. In response the gentleman insulted me, saying “If you can’t count to three.” Afterwards the previously friendly foreigner ended the call. Very rude staff at this Essen institute.

They tried to get my date of birth for an alleged survey. I replied that it was none of their business. The woman then became aggressively rude and downright abusive. Even if it’s just a call centre, that behaviour is utterly unacceptable.

These nuisances deserve every warning! They ring several times daily, dozens of times each week. Thanks to my Fritzbox the ringtone is muted, which means they stay on the line as long as possible, sparing others from annoyance. It’s outrageous how they keep calling despite being told never to contact me again.

A woman from Eastern Europe called and, without any consent, tried to pry into my private life, even accusing me of being far‑right. When I tried to end the interview she showed no willingness to stop.

I was asked whether I wanted to join a 1&1 survey and declined repeatedly. The caller was displeased when I requested that my number be removed.

Even if the company is legitimate, their data collection methods are highly questionable! My mobile number has existed for only a day and hardly anyone could have it. I never consented to any survey. When asked how they obtained my number they gave no answer; under GDPR they should disclose the source. I recommend avoiding their polls and reporting them to consumer protection.

Sure, a random‑call number… three times in a row, every two days. No surprise – the Fritzbox already recognised the number and dismissed it.

Diese Person ist unbekannt, unfreundlich, ruft ununterbrochen an, meldet sich auch zu unpassenden Zeiten, stellt lästige Fragen, will private Details erfahren, nutzt einen als Arbeitskraft, verschwendet Zeit, verdient damit Geld, zahlt aber nichts zurück – ein unseriöser Typ!
