Tech‑Support Scam Alert – What to Do When You Get That Call!
Summary — +7852269814
Expert Opinion
Caution: unexpected tech‑support scam calls are often scams. The pattern reported for +7852269814 shows callers using an Indian‑accented English voice, claiming to be from Microsoft or a "CSC" support center, and warning of a hacked computer. They typically ask about the operating system, then drop the line with a “goodbye” tone or a robotic voice. Do not share personal data, never grant remote access, and hang up immediately. Block the number on your device, add it to a spam‑filter list, and report it to your carrier or a consumer‑protection agency. Verify any genuine alerts directly through official company channels.

Regardless of the number of calls, all I get is a goodbye message, which suggests they are not genuinely interested in communicating, especially since hanging up immediately does not allow them to achieve their goals.
Attention should be paid to the fact that these individuals are once again engaging in telephone harassment!
Do not respond; these are scammers who will hang up immediately
I had the same experiance
Interestingly, I've had similar issues with Ziggo, so it's reassuring to know I'm not the only one experiencing these mysterious phone calls.
I also received a call from this number yesterday and would be happy to play along if they call again
Upon reviewing the messages here, it's clear I'm not alone in this issue; I too received a call from an unusually long number, and after answering and stating my name, I was met with a loud beep followed by a computerized female voice saying 'Goodbye'.
I recently received a call from a different number, but the experience was identical to the previous reports: upon answering, I stated my name, was met with static, and then a brisk 'goodbye'. After conducting a search, I landed on this page, hoping the perpetrators won't be able to exploit this information.
Solution: simply unplug the phone ;)
Similar experience here, I picked up the phone and unfortunately, I couldn't see the number, but now I'm certain it's this one. Unlike others, I've only heard a woman's voice, not a man with an accent. This is how it went the first time.

Following my first call from this unknown number, where they said goodbye after I stated my name, I researched online and found this site, and I'll keep you updated on any developments, suspecting this might be related to a long-standing scam in the UK.

I've been called multiple times by different numbers starting with 001, all with the same pattern of silence followed by a goodbye, so now I check the number before answering.
I was also contacted by an English-speaking Indian individual from an unknown number, claiming my PC was sending dangerous messages and would crash within days if I didn't accept their help; I informed them I would wait and see
This appears to be a Telfort number, as I've experienced six similar incidents today, all ending with a goodbye.
Here, the same thing happened, with the number being blocked; it calls about four times a day, then abruptly ends with a brief farewell
I was also recently called, for the second time, and will be contacting Telfort to request they block the number
I also received a call from this number on December 10, 2011, and will be contacting Telfort immediately, as this is just another example of the bizarre individuals in the world.
