Sunday, June 7 2009, 12:07 - got a call from 416-750-6018 and it was just a machine saying my Visa card's been compromized. No idear what's going on.
Got a call from some girl trying to sell me the Scene Visa - even told her we're not interested, but she just snickered and said it was about something else. Gave me a fake 1-800 number and everything.

Living in Michigan, the numerous posts about this scam number are alarming, especially since there's no connection to Scotia bank, and it's unclear how to proceed after receiving a call from this number

I'm extremely frustrated with this situation.
A suspicious call was received from this number, claiming my debit card had been compromised and requesting a callback; however, it's likely a scam and I'll verify with the bank in person

During the conversation, the woman on the phone provided a callback number, 18002652015.
Apparently this number belong to ScotiaBank telemarketer for SceneCard Visa
Scotiabank is associated with the phone number in question.
