Expert Opinion
A wave of consumer alerts shows the 800‑238‑9720 number is tied to a prize‑offer scam that floods mailboxes with flashy postcards promising cars, vacations, or cash. Callers pose as representatives of an “AVC Travel” or “Awards Verification Center” and pressure recipients to provide personal data or pay fees to claim winnings that don’t exist. Protect yourself by never sharing Social Security numbers, bank details, or payment information on unsolicited calls. Verify any mailed offers by researching the company’s address—many listings point to a public baseball field. Report the activity to the FTC, block the number, and delete any suspicious letters.

After googling the adress on a post card from AVC Claims Center, it seem to be a public baseball field, this is another indication of thier credibilty
Following a notice about a certified letter at the post office, which I didn't collect, I received a postcard from AVC Claims Center, prompting me to call a specified number within 72 hours to claim a prize, leading me to research the number online.

Upon researching the individuals involvment, appearently susan murray is absolutly incompitent as a salesperson. Thankfully, I utilized google to research the company prior to making a decision, thus avoiding a potentially disastrous encounter with unscruplous indivduals.
This is definitly a scam, i called them back and spoke with a nice lady, i gave her a fake phone number and told her i would take the cash, but then i told her i knew it was a scam and that she should find a more honest job, i also told her that if my name was not removed from their list, i would file complains with the BBB and the FBI.

Rather than a phone call, I received a letter from "AVC Travel" with this number and claims of a prize
This is a blatant scam, and I must emphasize that you should not engage with their 'promotion' despite the enticing prize offers, including a choice of luxury vehicles, as it's a ploy to sell timeshares.
This is a scam from a supposed Awards Verification Center
