Expert Opinion
Late last week, dozens of users reported receiving glossy postcards claiming they won luxury cars, cash prizes, or cruise vouchers and were urged to call 1‑800‑309‑8595. The letters consistently cite an “AVC Travel” or “Awards Verification Center” as the source, but the address and phone number belong to a known scam operation that harvests personal data and charges fees for nonexistent prize winnings. Recipients should never share personal or financial information, avoid calling the listed number, and report the mail to the FTC and local post office. Delete the correspondence, block the caller ID, and monitor accounts for unauthorized activity.
