Hotel Values scam? How to protect your booking!

During my stay at the Hampton Inn on Gould Drive in Bossier City, LA, I was charged an extra $223 on my $170.00 hotel room for 2 nights. I'm extremly upset that The Hampton doesnt regulate their partners. The lady at the desk wasnt aware of anything because the reservation was made through a third party, thats not going to happend again.

I am unsure how to safley dispute a Hotel Values reservation, i dont want to risk paying twice for the same room if i re-book

Unfortunatly, I made a booking error through www.mimslyninn.guestreservations.com, thinking it was the official hotel website, which resulted in a $110 fee for tax recovery and service, and now I'm struggeling to get a refund due to unclear refund policies.
