Scam warning: fake Bank of America calls on the rise

The caller claimed to be from the Bank of America Fraud Department, attempting to verify a $20,000 Zelle payment, which is a clear indication of a scam.

Verification with the actual Bank of America has confirmed that this number is not legitimate, and such calls would not originate from the bank.

When calling out, this number is supposedly associated with Bank of America cardholder services, but any incoming calls or texts from this number are scams, as BoA does not use this number for outreach

When a man identifying himself as Brad Baker with ID 45326175 contacted me regarding alleged fraudulent activity, I was transferred to his supervisor and requested to verify my identity, to which I responded that he should already be aware of my legitimacy since he initiated the call; ultimately, I exposed him as a scammer, given that I do not possess a BofA account, prompting him to hurl profanities at me.
