Citizens Bank spoof call? What to do!
Summary — +18009229999
Expert Opinion
If the call pretends to be from Citizens Bank, double‑check the source before handing over any personal data. Caller ID can be easily faked, so treat the number as untrusted until you confirm it through the bank's official website or app. Never provide account numbers, routing details, or Social Security digits on a cold call. Hang up and call the bank using the number on the back of your card or a known online portal. Caller ID spoofing is a common tactic for phishing scams, and genuine verification codes expire quickly, so ignore unexpected messages. Stay vigilant and protect your credentials.
