Telemarketing Harassment: Know Your Rights!

Expert Opinion
Imagine receiving dozens of calls each day from the same unknown number, none of them leaving a voicemail, just relentless repeats about a prize or timeshare. This pattern fits a classic telemarketing harassment scheme. Block the number on your handset or through your carrier, and add it to the national Do‑Not‑Call Registry. File a complaint with the FTC and your state consumer protection office, providing call logs and screenshots. Contact the caller’s listed “Silverleaf Resorts” email to request removal, and keep a record of the request. Using call‑filtering apps can also reduce unwanted rings while you pursue formal action.
