CLC holiday scam – how to protect yourself!
Summary — +441702822031
Expert Opinion
Being told you’ve won a free holiday but then asked for a £90 deposit is a textbook timeshare ploy. Callers repeatedly ring, use high‑pressure tactics and often claim to be from CLC or a similar holiday brand. Never share personal or banking details over the phone, especially when you didn’t enter a competition. Hang up, mark the number as spam on your handset and consider using a call‑blocking service. Report persistent harassment to the Information Commissioner’s Office and Action Fraud. Keep a written record of each call – date, time and exact wording – to aid any future complaint.

timeshare scammers, hung up and blocked
Companies offering free holidays in exchange for nothing are clearly motivated by self-interest, rather than a genuine desire to provide a complimentary service
Pushy sales tactics from CLC Holiday timeshares are highly suspicious
This is the same as the previous entry, they rang me under a different number the other day, trying to sell me a time share with a hard sell
Similar to the entry from Jan 2018. Caller said I’d won a holiday and went on to say I needed to do several things, but by then I’d zoned out. Hard sell! 90 minutes for a presentation...I don’t think so. I struggle to get my students to write an exam in 90 minutes! I told the caller to just send the tickets if I’d won. I’ll go anywhere warmer than here. Sadly, the caller hung up.
This appears to be a timeshare company, or something similar nowadays. They are a legitimate business, and I thoroughly reviewed the fine print on their site. Ultimately, if interested, you're required to: a) Pay £90 to secure a room booking in a 'luxury hotel' near their offices (they have three locations, yet they always invite you to the one farthest from your home, resulting in travel expenses) for a one-night hospitality stay (room only), which is only refundable if you attend the seminar and arrive punctually. b) Attend the entire 90-minute presentation c) Be prepared to cover flight, transfer costs, and all food expenses for your 'free' self-catering holiday.

Was offered a free holiday, but with a catch, had to pay airfares, and a semi a&e with a returnable deposit, didnt seem legit, probable scammers
Poor line quality. The caller claimed to be from 'something resorts' but hung up quickly when I said I was on holiday.
This call was a scam, claiming I'd entered a competition and asking about household income, I ended the call and blocked the number
I received a call offering holidays and a business tour, but it sounded like a scam, so I pretended to be interested until they tried to transfer me to a colleague, at which point I hung up
Block this number immediately. Time wasters.
Daily, this number has appeared on my phone for the past week. After checking here, I answered today and politely declined a free holiday, mentioning I wanted to cherish my last one for at least a year and suggested they offer it to someone else - I even pretended this was a grand act of generosity on my part :-) it worked. It's unfortunate that these scam callers remain unstopable, as it can be quite intimidating and it's concerning they request credit card information.
A woman called, claiming that my husband had entered a competition to win a holiday, and asked me to verify some details; however, she seemed suspicious and couldn't provide a clear explanation of her company, so I refused to cooperate
Received a call from a rude timeshare salesman. Very unprofessional.
The caller claimed to represent CLC holidays, informing me that I had won a holiday, but required a £90 deposit to secure the spot, which seemed suspicious
No response
This number has been calling me repeatedly, and I've been ignoring them. However, when I finally answered, I heard the background noise of a busy call center and decided to put the phone down, trying not to laugh at the caller's repeated greetings. I'm now looking for ways to block these calls on my landline.

Blocked due to no message
Following multiple calls, I eventually had a conversation with them today, during which they mentioned a survey I may or may not have completed, and then offered me deals on holidays to places like Turkey, but when I expressed my preference for Barbados or Cyprus, the caller abruptly ended the call, leading me to believe it was a massive scam, so I've blocked their number
It’s a timeshare scam. Just hang up and block. Added to my list of 2500 blocked numbers. So many calls daily, it’s like I’m popular! LOL
fake prizes
Keep caling and blocking, guy shoutd at me down phone when I sayd he coud be fined
The caller claimed to be offering a holiday prize, but requested a £90 payment to secure it, likely a timeshare scam
