I normally ignore unknown numbers and search online; doing so I contacted Revolut via chat and they confirmed the number should be blocked because they never make unsolicited calls.

My partner was contacted by someone claiming to be from Revolut, stating there were suspicious blocked charges and requesting security checks. They then attempted to send a payment request for a functionality test. The moment I heard the amount, I instructed my partner to decline, and the caller immediately hung up. The caller sounded professional and asked detailed security questions, even masking the call as coming from Revolut’s number. They clearly know their tactics.
