The caller pretended to be from OVO and attempted to schedule a smart meter installation. When I declined, they abruptly ended the call, clearly a scam.
I let this number go to voicemail as it was unrecognised. The caller hung up immediately upon reaching the voicemail. This is the fifth scam call I’ve received today from various numbers, despite being on TPS.
At 16:45, they rang claiming to be Ovo and wanted to speak to Mr D L..... I mentioned I was on the account; they requested my name, which I said was already linked. They pressed for more information but ended up saying they would call back. I've never received a call from Ovo and have no ongoing issues.
