Thames Water scam calls—how to protect yourself!

It’s quite unprofessional whatever the situation is. When asked for their details to send a money order, they hung up. What a sad, parasitic world we live in!

Numerous calls and texts have been received, all of which appear to be part of a scam, as the claims made about unpaid water bills are entirely false, given our location outside of London.

This is a water scam, receiving 2-3 calls or texts weekly from these fraudsters, likely based in India, while authorities seem indifferent or complicit. Avoid answering or responding, regardless of the urge to tell them off; the calls will persist. It's wiser to report them to prevent vulnerable individuals from sharing banking information with these deceivers.

An email from Thames Water prompted me to call this number to settle an outstanding balance, which appeared convincing until they requested my date of birth, at which point I became suspicious.

For months, this number has been contacting me about an unpaid water bill for a non-existent account, complete with a fake Thames Water caller ID

I recieved repeated texts from this number claiming to be Thames Water, asking me to call about an overdue bill, but my bills are paid by direct debit and are up to date

My daughter recieved a suspisous letter with this number, regarding an old adress, it was a scam, dont pay them, use oficial methods to pay Thames water.

They emailed us saying we owe thames water £149, but the phone number was 08000093651

The purpose of this number is to obtain bank details, and it's surprising it remains operational given the history of reports; it's advisable to block it and be cautious of related emails

I'm from Scotland, so Thames Water shouldn't be bothering me, they are obvious scammers!!!!!!!

This is undoubtedly a scam

I've recieved multiple calls from this number, as well as a blank voicemail and an SMS from a header claiming to be THAMESWATER, stating I owe money, which is quite freking

A scam text was received from this number, falsely claiming to be about an overdue water bill payment and directing me to a website or phone number, which is clearly a ploy to obtain bank account details and money.

I think this number is beeing used by a group of scammers
