This call was definitely a scam – the number isn’t even used by Thames Water. After paying my bills they knew my full name, asked for my address and account details, then put me on hold with music when I demanded an explanation, so I hung up.
The water provider can go jump off a bridge; they’ll only pay when I decide, and the staff bonuses funded by taxpayers need to stop.
