Nieznany dzwoniący: jak rozpoznać scam?
Podsumowanie — +1
Opinia eksperta

It is essential to be cautious with this scam, avoiding any engagement or disclosure of information, and considering close monitoring of credit reports, as the caller, claiming to be Officer Eric Best with a thick Indian accent, may have access to sensitive information.
The caller, who went by the name Bo Martin but likely uses various aliases and has a heavy Indian accent, harassed and threatened me, stating that if I didn't pay $5000, I would face jail time. After filing a police report and contacting the FTC and credit bureaus, I have taken steps to block further communication.
Multiple calls have been received from this number, which displays as "1" and is described as "UNAVAILABLE." The callers fail to leave a message, making it frustrating and suspicious. Legitimate callers typically leave a message if they have a genuine purpose for calling. It's astonishing to see the extent to which these scammers will go to extort money from innocent people, as evidenced by my own experience and the numerous posts here.

These individuals are from a vastly different background, with limited resources and a distinct way of life. Unless there's a market for their products, such as cow dung, there's little opportunity for economic advancement.

I have been recieving numerous calls from this number, the person on the other end is hard to understand due to background noise and poor english, he claims to be Officer Jose Garcia, but I beleive it's a scam.
It's unclear if the issue lies with the number itself or the phone, as similar problems have been experienced with numerous contacts
It appears that they have changed their tactics, now using different numbers to avoid being contacted
I've also been dealing with these calls; when they reach me at work, I remain silent, but at home, I use a whistle to respond, hoping they'll get the message or tire of the headache, and I wish the authorities would take more aggressive action to stop these calls.
In response to a call from a representative, a psychological game was initiated, which led to the caller becoming distraught and eventually ending the conversation. This interaction has been repeated, with the goal of using psychological tactics to unsettle the caller.

I had a similar experience with a company called Marcello & Camarillo, which claimed to be a mediation service; they used intimidation tactics, mentioning the DA's office, court filings, and fraud, and demanded payment by debit or credit card, but when I asked for the name of the payday loan company they were supposedly representing, they were unable to provide it; the number that appeared on my caller ID was either 1-800-642-1084 or Restricted, and the person I spoke with claimed to be Owen Shore
